Easter Sunday

We got back from Cali on Saturday and my mom spent the night. My dad drove down from Cottonwood and also spent the night on Saturday. I made french toast for breakfast Sunday morning. Amelia went Easter egg hunting in our front yard area. She did very well, seeing how they weren’t hidden very hard but placed near tree trunks or in the open grass area. The only problem we ran into was that she wanted to stop and open every single plastic Easter egg and find out what was inside them. Our neighbors also had an Easter egg hunt for a couple of the neighbor children. The other kids were older and found all the easier placed eggs that were supposed to be for Amelia. So Amelia and I went hunting for the harder placed eggs. We found some in bushes and tree branches. After the Easter egg hunts, we went back to our yard and Amelia opened her Easter basket. Mom had put a soft white and pink fluffy bunny rabbit in her basket. Amelia loves this bunny and carts it around all over, along with her kitty and blankie.

Mom and dad left in the afternoon and our family went up to Mesa to Clint’s family’s house. Amelia participated in another Easter egg hunt there with all the cousins and a few other friends. There were eight kids total. Clint and I helped Amelia find the well hidden eggs that were on top of brick wall fences out of reach. There were also little plastic eggs with coins that were hidden very well beneath the clovers. Amelia got to put a lot of coins in her ladybug piggy bank when we got home that evening.
